By chance, I was able to attend the 2nd district
cabinet meeting. I did not know what that was. But in the end, I was very much
surprised by its impact. Lion’s meet, share their projects and thoughts and –
the best part-turn from Lion members to lifetime-friends.
The quote which shaped my further Lions work:
“Don’t try to find new
members,
Do a great job,
and the new member will automatically attend
your club. “
Being a strong, active club is the number one argument for
people to join.
I also faced the question about why projects of the Lions
Club in my hometown suffered from a lack of participants. I also got a great
answer:
“become friends with lots of other Lions
and visit other Lions clubs’ projects and your projects will be successful! “
Two quotes I still remember and try to follow every single
time I organize a meeting or project.
